About
I’m an editorial photographer and multimedia journalist based in Bozeman, MT. My work has appeared in Vanity Fair, Smithsonian, National Wildlife, The New York Times, The Nature Conservancy Magazine, Yale E360 and dozens of national and international publications.
In 2008, I co-founded  The Story Group, a multimedia journalism company, specializing in environmental and conservation stories in the western United States. I’ve produced and directed more than 35 short videos through The Story Group, focusing on climate change effects and other environmental issues. I hold a Masters degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism, and am a member of the Society of Environmental Journalists, Cavan Images and the International League of Conservation Photographers (ILCP).  I’m a former Ted Scripps Fellow in Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado and an MIT Knight Science Journalism fellow. I was also an artist in residence at the Ucross Foundation in Wyoming where I documented the coal bed methane boom. I specialize in natural history and environmental photojournalism.
